T-Pain Likes Facebook in Hawaii

T-Pain's Facebook TattooRapper “T-Pain” was in Hawaii last week, and celebrated the visit with a new tattoo. The message is, “You Don’t Have to Like Me,” but the design invoked the now ubiquitous Facebook “Like” button.

T-Pain, born Faheem Rasheed Najm, is perhaps best known for popularizing the “autotune” pitch correction effect, collaborating with the likes of Kanye West and Jamie Foxx.

He showed off his new ink in a post on Twitter, writing: “I get a tatt every time I come to Hawaii. I think this ones pretty sweet, unless facebook shuts down soon 0_o”

Two days later, as news and the photo of his tattoo spread across the web, he tweeted: “Who do y’all think the next artist to get a stupid tattoo is?”

Fortunately, there is no shortage of questionably tattooed celebrities. And with an estimated 600 million users, Facebook should be around for a while.

Meanwhile, his tattoo has helped garner a wave of publicity that’ll be quite helpful as he prepares to release his next album.
