Recruiting on Social Media

Hawaii Business Magazine, as part of its regular “Five Steps” series, this month shared “Five Steps for Recruiting Candidates on Social Media.”

The column follows other collections of advice like “Five Steps to Buying a Business” and “Five Steps to Choosing a Realtor.”

Among the steps recommended by Emi Yamauchi-Wong is “be selective about your social media platforms.”

“Not every platform is right for every business and chances are, you don’t have time to manage a half-dozen social media accounts,” she writes. “Start with a platform that makes the most sense for your business.”

Yamauchi-Wong also recommends enlisting employees to be brand advocates.

“Content shared by employee advocates performs 24 times better than content shared by company brands,” she notes.
