Creating a New Media Campaign

Mark WolfMark Wolf, Executive Producer & New Media Director at Our Public School and graduate of the Academy for Creative Media at UH, is leading a workshop next weekend titled “Creating a New Media Campaign:

In this intense two-day workshop, learn social media theory and the powerful tools within new media. Work as a team to create a basic campaign which includes films on YouTube, blogs, a website, Facebook, Twitter, cell phone services, and more as we unleash the power of New Media for a good cause. Join us, serve with us, and learn how you can make the most out of New Media.

Wolf, who recently served with the new media department at the White House, teaches media production and meanwhile heads 1001 Stories, a high-definition video production company. He’s worked with the U.S. Navy, the Institute for Human Services, and Kanu Hawaii.

He will be joined by L.P. “Neenz” Faleafine, who recently served as the Social Media Director for the successful gubernatorial campaign of Gov. Neil Abercrombie.

The two previously spoke together as part of a social media panel at the 2010 TechHui Conference.

The two-day session runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 18 and Sunday, Dec. 19 in room C104 of Sakamaki Hall. The cost is $200, with online registration.
