Social Media Starter

Dan Leuck of Ikayzo and TechHui will lead a session on social media for the High Tech Development Corporation on Friday, Nov. 5.

“HTDC asked me to do an intro class for companies with no social media experience,” Leuck says. “We are going to cover Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and the blog platforms – how to get started, which networks are useful for what purposes, etc.”

The session is titled “Social Media Starter Part I,” and Leuck says there will be a “Part II” led by another expert.

For next Friday’s event, HTDC members and clients can attend for free, otherwise, registration is $25. It is taking place at the Manoa Innovation Center. RSVPs are due by email to events@htdc.org by Thursday, Nov. 4.

Ikayzo is an interactive design, software development and localization agency, developing desktop, web and mobile applications. TechHui is a social network for scientists, techies, tech entrepreneurs, and new media enthusiasts in Hawaii.

The High Technology Development Corporation was established in 1983 to facilitate the development and growth of Hawaii’s commercial high technology industry and to increase revenue generation and job creation within the technology-based sector of Hawaii’s economy.
